Information We Collect
We maintain the data that you provide us in a highly secure database, which is internationally known and specifically designed for large non-profits for the purpose of securing data and maintaining confidentiality.

We may collect information (including name, address, telephone number, email address and, when necessary, credit card information and date of birth) during the following circumstances including, but not limited to the

* Request information about our agency

Using Information We Collect
At Northeast Parent & Child Society, we respect your privacy and protect your personal information. We collect information only with your express approval. This information allows us to:
* Process your online donation and send thank you letters and tax
receipts to your specified mailing or email address
* Provide information that you have requested (e.g., our latest
Volunteer opportunities)
* Contact you about the status of a pledge or donation
* Send you our Newsletters or invitations we believe will be of
interest to you
* Customize our communications to your needs

Information We Share with Others and Your Privacy Rights
We contract with Blackbaud, our secure database software company, and IATS, a ticketmaster owned company, to provide credit card processing services. We provide these companies with only the information they need to perform their services and work closely with them to ensure that your privacy is respected and protected. Blackbaud and IATS, a ticketmaster owned company, are prohibited by contract from using this information for their own marketing purposes or from sharing this information with anyone other than Northeast Parent & Child Society employees who have been given special permission to access this information. On rare occasions, we may disclose specific information upon governmental request, in response to a court order, subpoena, or when required by law to do so.

How We Use Email
When you provide us your email address, we may send you emails necessary to process your online donations, pledges, registrations, respond to a request, provide customer service, promote the needs of our children through appeal campaigns, or other standard communications. It is our intent to send emails only to those persons who wish to receive them. If you no longer wish to receive emails from Northeast Parent & Child Society, simply respond to the email with a title of UNSUBSCRIBE or click on the email link to unsubscribe@neparentchild.org <mailto:unsubscribe@neparentchild.org> at the bottom of the email message.

Updating or Reviewing Your Information
To update your customer information (name, address, telephone number and email address), please contact our Database Administrator at 518.346.5224 x302 or dba@neparentchild.org. To protect your privacy, we will need to validate your identity before you update or review your information.

Security
It is our intent to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information that we have collected from you. We use a variety of current technologies and processes for protection of our customer data. When you make a donation, request information, register for an event, or create an account on our Web site, your transactional information is transmitted in a safe, encrypted format.

Privacy of Children on Our Web Site
Our Web site is not intended for use by children under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 18.
Children under the age of 18 should always ask their parents or guardians for permission before providing any personal information to anyone online.
We urge parents and guardians to participate in their children's online activities and use parental control or other web filtering technology to supervise children's access to the web.

Policy Changes
If our information practices change, we will post these changes on our Web site. We encourage you to review our privacy policy periodically.
